It’s been a while since we heard from Philips, but we’re about to hear a lot more. In the coming months we’ll see offerings in TV, but it’s their audio range they’re starting with, introducing the BT6000 and BT6600 Wireless Portable Bluetooth Speakers.
The speakers are stylishly designed capsule shapes with a splash-proof and rugged exterior, but more importantly offer, Philips say, a warm, natural sound. Both speakers will offer 360° sound with Digital Sound Processing (DSP) with the BT6000 pumping out 12W RMS, while the BT6600 will have 15W RMS.
The speakers are Bluetooth compatible with NFC pairing to your device and offer a 10 meter range using Bluetooth 4.0, the BT6600 will also support pairing up to 3 devices at one time. Thought they’re Bluetooth speakers, both speakers will also come with an Auxiliary audio-in port.
There’e a big battery included in both speakers with the BT6000 including a 4,400mAh battery while the BT6600 will have a massive 6000mAh battery which offers up to 12-hours of use when it arrives in November. The BT6600 larger battery capacity also allows it to be used as a power bank for your devices with a USB port included to plug in your phone or other devices when required. The BT6600 will also come with a charging base for quick and easy recharging.
If you’re interested in these new speakers, the Philips BT6000 Wireless Portable Speaker is available now from JB Hi-Fi for $179.95, though it’s not quite on their website as yet. If you’re after the larger and more powerful BT6600 though you’ll have to wait till November but will be available for $249.95.
