Chromebook Pixel 2
Google’s Chromebook Pixel 2 is the absolute pinnacle of Chromebook, and arguably laptop technology. With high-end Intel Core i5 or i7 processors, 8GB-16GB of RAM and a high-resolution touch-screen and sporting the latest USB-C connectors, it’s a very attractive hardware prospect – but it’s only available in the US…until April 21st when the Pixel 2 will arrive in the UK.

According to Tech Crunch, Google will begin selling the Chromebook Pixel 2 at their Google store-within-a-store at Curry’s PC World in Tottenham Court Road, as well as through Google’s new online hardware store from April 21st. The Chromebook Pixel 2 will sell for £799 (AU$1522.55) for the Core i5 version, and £999 (AU$1903.66) for the i7 version making it still a very high-end prospect.

Ausdroid will be checking the Google store in London next week, but it looks like we’ll miss the launch date of the Pixel 2 by just a couple of days. Maybe next time.

Now that I worked out how to use adb and fastboot with my Chromebook, I wouldn’t mind replacing my PC with this. Considering I don’t play games and I’m heavily in googles ecosystem. My only grip is not being able to have direct access to a printer.
