It’s about to get busy in the consumer electronics space, and HP are hot off the mark announcing two new Chromebooks – the Chromebook 11 G6 and 14 G5 – ahead of the press days at CES in Las Vegas on Sunday.
While they have different screen sizes, the new Chromebooks are similar in specs with both powered by 7th generation Intel Celeron processors and will be configurable with up to 8GB of RAM and feature 64GB in storage.
The Chromebook 11 G6 will have an 11.6″ display, while the Chromebook 14 G5 will have a 14″ display, with both featuring a HD (1366×768) resolution powered by the Intel HD Graphics 500 chipset, though a touch option will also be available.
Both will feature a 180-degree hinge to allow them to sit flat on the desk and ports on both, which includes a USB-C port, will be located up the top of the laptop. Both HP Chromebooks are built to mil-spec standards (MIL-STD 810G), making them perfect for use on the road, or in the education sector.

Availability and pricing has not been announced for Australia, but we could see these released in the US in February.
