Have you installed the Android N preview on your Nexus device only to find out that a bunch of apps aren’t working? If you’re a CommBank customer, you may have noticed that the CommBank app was one such app that would give library errors. To be honest, it was the lack of Commbank app functionality (and only that) stopping me from making the switch on my daily driver.
As of today app update, I’ve got less one excuse. In today’s update to their app, CommBank has added support for Android N and having installed it on my Android N test device I can attest that the app now loads.
Before you run out and install the N preview just one current warning. As of right now, I have not got tap-to-pay actually working. We have reached out to Commonwealth Bank to ask if this is still in development, as it could even be an issue with just my device or account. Thanks to Brandon in the Comments, deleting the App DATA (not cache) and setting the app up from scratch got tap-to-pay working again, I suppose I’m all out of excuses.
If you’re on Android N and you’re a CommBank customer head on over to the playstore and check out the update.
Let us know in the comments if you get tap-to-pay working.
I just wish my banks rolled out tap n pay *cough* Bankwest *cough* St George
had to clear the apps data and now tap and pay works for me after this update
Thanks Brandon, the article as been updated with your info.
Tap & Pay still stays on loading indefinitely on NPD35K Dev Preview 🙁 trying to avoid restoring Marshmallow though
Tapa and pay working fine for me on Nexus 6P, with N DP3
I have an issue with the people’s choice redi2pay app just emailed support.
Great news, I pay for everything using tap’n’pay and I had to revert to standard Android image after the issues incurred on the Android N Preview with the Commbank App.
