Twitter has today announced they’ll be removing clients for a number of platforms this week, including Twitter for Roku, Twitter for Android TV and Twitter for Xbox.
The Twitter for Android TV client first popped up in late 2016, but with the leanback experience of the Android TV platform its utility was fairly limited. It was good for streaming sports events including the Melbourne Cup, NBA and NFL, as well as other coverage such as the League of Legends: League of Origin esports tournament – but that’s really about it.
Twitter has announced the end date in a tweet saying the apps will be removed on May 24th
On Thursday, May 24, Twitter for Roku, Twitter for Android TV and Twitter for Xbox will no longer be available. To get the full Twitter experience, visit https://t.co/fuPJa3nVky on your device or desktop.

So, if you use these Twitter apps on those platforms they’ll be going bye bye on Thursday (likely Friday Australian time), so fare the well.
