After a major update which rolled out earlier this year, Google Fit is getting new features to help you get through the notoriously unhealthy Christmas season.
The update consists of two major features, faster access to your fitness data through home screen widgets, and a breathing coach (Serenity NOW!!!) for Wear OS.
The widgets coming to Google Fit will allow you faster access to your data so you can see Heart Points, Move Minutes and other daily stats like steps taken, distance travelled and calories burned at a glance. You’ll also see your last workout on the home screen.
For those who manually add in activities to Google Fit, you’ll be able to now add how intense a workout was to be eligible to accrue Heart Points for it.
For those expecting a tense Christmas dinner, the new breathing coach will be a bonus. Coming to your wrist on Wear OS, Google says that ‘Fit will now guide you through a breathing exercise to help you unwind and relax’.
Google will roll out the updates to Google Fit on your phone, and if you wear a Wear OS watch, on your wrist, over the next week.
Nice work Google. Google Fit widget is back!
