With Google I/O having been cancelled, and Google being one of the only companies to not replace their event with a virtual replacement we have seen information slowly leak out of Mountain View over the past week weeks. Today they announced a virtual summit focusing on the Google Assistant ecosystem.
The online only event will comment on July 8 and run for two days. Sessions are very developer-focused with topics ranging from device design, to Bluetooth integration and to the new Project CHIP (connected Home over IP). Sessions will be run multiple times for attendees from 3 different time zones, the Americas, Asia-Pacific (that’s us :)), and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Here’s a list of the program sessions:
You can register to attend here by filling in a form and there aren’t any gate keepers there are asking what field you work in and which company you represent. We will tune in for the keynote which starts midnight local time on July 8th.
