As stated, Motorola has signed and announced a strategic partnership with Pantone, the global authority on colour, which the company has stated is a long-term partnership which will give Motorola access to Pantone’s unparalleled knowledge via access to Pantone’s Colour Institute experts and a subset of curated colours that will feature strong design trends, including the much-lauded Pantone Colour of the Year.
The partnership will combine Motorola’s innovation-focused technology leadership with Pantone’s expertise in colour trending and forecasting, to empower self-expression through the intersection of colour and technology.
Kurt Bonnici, Head of Motorola for Australia and New Zealand has stated about the long term strategic partnership between Motorola and Pantone that:
“We know that smartphones are more than just tools for communication. They have become a vessel for expression, representing who we are,” and that. “Colour plays a huge part in this – it is incredibly powerful and just like our smartphones, helps us tell our story and connect with the world around us.”
Elley Cheng, Pantone Vice President and General Manager has stated about the new strategic partnership between the two companies that:
“We are proud to partner with Motorola to offer Australian consumers smartphones that feature the best-in-class design trends and colours,” and that “Motorola exists to design, create and deliver purposeful innovations to people across the globe and has a strong history in developing intuitive products. At Pantone, we share these values, and we’re excited to be working with Motorola to highlight the importance and power of precision in design, innovation and self-expression in colour and technology.”
