Seems even the inimitable James Bond can’t sway the Android update gods for his Xperia TX. Back in November last year, soon after the launch of Kitkat, Sony announced that they were investigating the possibility of bringing this latest Android update to a number of their phones. Among those being looked at were the Xperia T, TX and V, but unfortunately it looks like they won’t be seeing the update.
Sony was looking to deliver the Android 4.3 update for these phones in February and that will remain the final update. Sony has updated the support page for the Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V. With the ‘Under Investigation Android 4.4 (KitKat)’ tag removed from the software projection timeline and the ‘Latest & final version’ tag added with Android 4.3 listed as the final release.
It’s a sad day for Xperia T, TX and V owners, with that glimmer of hope now extinguished officially, but there’s always the option of checking out the ROM community if you want your phone to get a slightly better update. Still, it’s a shame that even James Bond can’t get an Android update for his phone
The name’s Bond, Jelly Bond.
Like James Bond would still be using the same phone after six months.
Mi6 dont even use the same James Bond after 6 months
