HTC has sent invites overnight to press, inviting them to an event in New York on the 8th of October. The event has been called ‘Double Exposure’, which from the release of the HTC One M8, seems an obvious reference to their Duo-Camera setup – but what could the event be for?
While a HTC Tablet is possible (probably not the HTC Nexus 9), the timing of the event suggests it’s most likely going to be something in the realm of the HTC One M8 Max. The HTC One Max, launched last year in mid-October, so timing wise, this matches up quite nicely. With the HTC One Mini 2 launched, the other end of the size scale needs to be addressed and with the Galaxy Note 4 released, it’s time to see what HTC has in their phablet arsenal.
The event is set to start at 4pm Eastern in New York, which translates to a pretty decent time for us on the east coast in Australia, with the time-zone change meaning it should commence at 7am on Thursday, 9th of October. There’s no word on a live-stream for the event as yet, but we’re checking.
Or perhaps a One M8 3D with dual cameras capable of 3D recording to dip their toe into the action cam market?
The two green boxes do intersect at that damn awful camera.
Clearly you’ve never used the One M8 before.
