It may have been two months ago that Vodafone and Google updated the Nexus S to Android 2.3.4, but that doesn’t mean they’ve forgotten about their first love, the HTC manufactured Nexus One. Vodafone recently posted on their blog that they’ve completed testing Android 2.3(.4?) for the Nexus One and have given it the green light. Now all owners of the Nexus One have to do is wait for Google to push the update out to the device.
If it is Android 2.3.4 you can expect to not have Gtalk Video Calling due to the obvious lack of a front-facing camera. That won’t stop you from getting better performance, and bragging rights for being on the latest version of Android before most other devices. It’s all a part of being in the Google Nexus experience 😉

what’s there to test?! and I thought all nexus one’s got the ota automatically months ago
The testing, by Vodafail on this update for the N1, is to ensure that the update doesn’t break the Vodafail nyetwork.
It was mentioned several month back in relation to the delays in getting updates to another Android phone, here in Australia. Such updates, by law, have to be tested by and approved by the telcos, before they can be permitted to be distributed in Australia.
How does Apple update it’s phones at the blink of an eye? Are they an exception to the rule?
