One of the hardest tickets to get hold of these days is a Google I/O ticket — and that is even without Google giving a heap of freebies to attendees anymore. This year the tickets for Google’s developer conference are set to be just as difficult to obtain, but at least now we know when you need to start applying for tickets.

After announcing the Google I/O dates last year via their usual cryptic puzzle Google have today announced that tickets for the event to be held a the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California will go on sale on the 20th of February.

I should rephrase that though — applications for the opportunity to purchase tickets to the developers conference open on February 20 and close on February 25. This way Google is able to make sure those who receive a ticket are truly deserving of the ticket and will get the most out of the conference.

At this stage it is unclear just who will get a ticket and who won’t but if it follows previous years applicants will have to list their area of interest in the conference as well as other details that are pertinent to their application.

Prices are also unknown but if you are considering going you are most likely involved in the industry making the purchase of a ticket a tax deduction.

Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks in the lead up to the applications opening.
