After going on-sale outright at Dick Smith last week for $299, Vodafone has now announced that they will be selling the phone for $249 as a pre-paid device on their network.
Katie Turkal, General Manager of Devices at Vodafone said of the newest addition to the pre-paid range :
We know our prepaid customers love to keep control of their costs and still be able to take advantage of a super fast network and an advanced smartphone. Our superfast 4G network is even more enjoyable with the easy-to-play GALAXY Ace 3.
The Galaxy Ace 3 is an affordable LTE device on the new Vodafone 4G network which has been performing quite well in speed tests we’ve conducted in areas around Sydney.
The Galaxy Ace 3 comes with Android 4.2.2 onboard with Samsung’s software enahncements such as S-Translator, S Travel, Smart Stay, S Voice and Easy Mode included. With a 4″ 480×800 resolution display and 1.2GHz Dual Core Processor with 1GB of RAM powering it, it won’t top the hardware spec list for hardcore fans but will more than adequately handle the day to day smart phone uses of the average user.
The Galaxy Ace 3 comes with 8GB of internal storage expandable via microSD Cards up to 64GB. It comes with a 5MP camera with LED Flash on the rear as well as a VGA video conferencing camera on the front all powered by an 1800mAh Li-ion battery.
