Seems that Samsung has gone on a bit of a spree, announcing new phones in Eastern Europe, first the Galaxy Note 3 Neo in Poland and now they’ve announced Black faux leather backed versions of the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 Mini for the Russian market.
The Specifications on both the devices appear to not differ from their previously released versions – the Galaxy S4 Black even retains the GT-i9505 model # – with the major stand out feature on both being the faux leather back. This of course brings both the devices in line with the Galaxy Note 3 which first introduced the leather feel back with fake stitching back in September.
While there’s been no announcement on worldwide availability, the phones will hit the Russian market in February where they’ve been priced at RUB 23,000 (AUD $749) for the Black Edition Galaxy S4, while the Galaxy S4 mini Black Edition will be RUB 16,000 (AUD $521).
I honestly don’t see the point, the S5 is just around the corner. Samsung really makes me question their methods sometimes.
