After launching their hybrid tablet/projector, the Spro Plus yesterday, ZTE has today announced two new phones in their Blade series, with the Blade V7 and Blade V7 Lite.
Aimed at the young and the young at heart, the Blade V7 and Blade V7 Lite may share a name, but the specs they offer are definitely different with the Blade V7 housed in a premium full-metal, ergonomic body while the Blade V7 Lite offers biometric security in the form of a fingerprint scanner. The phones come with different sized screens with the Blade V7 offering a 5.2″ Full HD display, while the Blade V7 offers a 5″ HD display.

Talking about the launch, Jacky Zhang, CEO of EMEA and APAC, ZTE Mobile Devices told Ausdroid
We’re proud to show off the Blade V7 and Blade V7 Lite to the world, and we’re starting here in Barcelona. We know how important smartphones are to our daily lives, especially for capturing those significant moments. Hence, we’ve designed the Blade V7 and Blade V7 Lite with that in mind. These devices are just the latest milestones in how ZTE will bring imagination and beyond to ignite our users’ mobile lives.
ZTE hasn’t announced whether these phones will launch in Australia as yet, they’ve announced the Blade V7 will be in Germany, Spain, South Africa, Ethiopia, and Mexico by ‘summer’ this year, which we assume is our winter. The Blade V7 Lite will be launching a little earlier in spring, again, probably our autumn in Russia first before becoming available in Mexico, Spain, Germany and Thailand by spring 2016
V7 supports up to 32GB microSD external storage.
Surprised that this hasn’t been released in Australia yet.
It’s been on their Australian website for a while now, but no local launch details yet.

The higher end device send to be limited to 16GB with no SD card, but the lower end device does have SD card. Really? 16 GB and no SD card?
