While there’s nothing terribly surprising in this list, the Note 8 is still stacking up to be an excellent device on paper. With new features such as dual auto focus with OIS rear image sensors as well as a rumoured 3x optical zoom, the Note 8 may shortly be the best Android camera on the market.
Unfortunately, that excellent package is likely to come in at or over the $1499 – $1500 AUD mark which is going to be a bitter pill to swallow. However, for those who want the latest and greatest Samsung has to offer and can find the dosh the Note 8 is shaping up to be on of the most compelling devices of 2017.
Definitely want to upgrade to this but really disliking the tall narrow aspect ratio. Wasn’t the idea that Note users want big phones? And don’t really care about one handed use? I remember my Note 1 was a good 80mm wide. It was a great size for reading & holding. I don’t have big hands but I do prefer a decent big phone. Am I the only one thinking like this?
amazing that people ripped Lenovo for putting ~3000mAh in the Z2 play with its battery efficient chip and the HUGE new Note has 10% more battery and a power hungry combination of display resolution and 835 chip.
also astounding that the note has *less* battery than the S8+
I was imagining the note would be more like 3800, oh well.
Totally agree..
