Well its that time of the year when the major retailers begin their half yearly sales and it seems Harvey Norman have dropped the price of the newly released Nokia 1, which retails norman for $149 to $99 – thats $50 off.

The Nokia 1 is one of the latest smartphones from HMD Global, the manufacturer behind the Nokia branded smartphones. It’s the first smartphone running Google’s Android Go 8.1 (Oreo) edition in the Austrlaian marketplace, though more are expected down the track. Android Go is designed for lower end hardware – specifically handsets with between 512MB-1GB of RAM. Google has also loaded the phone up with ‘Go’ versions of their popular apps such as Gmail, Maps and more.

In terms of hardware, the handset is fairly decent with a decent display, Mediatek processor and though only 8GB of on-board storage it does have a microSD card slot. The full list of specs includes:

The Nokia 1 comes in dark blue colour only – though you can purchase replaceable ‘X-press On’ covers in other colours from $19.95. The handset is available through the Harvey Norman website or your local store for the price of $99.

Just incase the Nokia 1 might not be the device your after, Harvey Norman are also offering last years Nokia 3 for the reduced price of $169 in either white or matte black colours.
