We already know the Nokia 9 is coming, with CES over for 2019 it’s looking more likely we’ll see it at Mobile World Congress next month – but it seems that there may not be any surprises left other than availability.

The specs have all but been confirmed as a 5.9-inch OLED display running with 2560×1440. A Snapdragon 845 or 855 (in the rumoured 5G model) the processor is at the heart of the device, a 4150mAh battery with wireless charging and 6/8GB RAM (model dependent) give us the usability factor for consumers. Finally reports show 128GB storage which has come to be the market expected starting point for storage.

Perhaps one of the more interesting decisions is the on-screen fingerprint reader which have to date (in other phones) been less accurate and slower than the dedicated readers that have been used by the majority of manufacturers. It will make the device a little more aesthetically pleasing, even when unlocking due to the animations found and shared by the team at Love Nokia.

According to Phone Arena, we’re guaranteed to see its debut very soon.

The Nokia 9 PureView will make its international debut either later this month or at MWC 2019 in February. Sales are expected to commence shortly after with the flagship rumored to retail at either €749 or €799  in Europe.

It’s looking like the Nokia 9 Pureview will be a really good device, but will it stand up to the bigger names in the market?

I’ve talked to Nokia they’ve confirmed the Nokia 9 doesn’t exist

Really wanted this phone until it came with an under-display fingerprint reader that could collect your biometrics without your permission, same can be said for face unlock features. The security pro’s use 2FA Yubikey’s to unlock their devices and apps without giving away their personal biometric data.

Hope the camera’s live up to the hype.

Price will come down within a year after Nokia releases another new flagship. They are pumping out phones so fast their naming sequences can’t keep up.

Collect your biometrics without your permission? You can skip setting up fingerprint and face unlock…

Personally, can’t wait for this. Loved the Nokia handsets I owned in the past and really hope they come back with the same great build quality and cameras
