Optus has added two new devices to its prepaid line up with the Optus X View and Optus X Vista.
Both phones are part of the telco’s own branding but are basically rebadged Alcatel and ZTE devices. Both do offer some similar specs but there are differences, including price.
Optus X View
The Optus X View is, looking at the spec run sheet, a basic device. It is a white labelled Alcatel device and is aimed at more the budget conscious low end market.

Optus X Vista
The Optus X Vista certainly has piqued my interest as it comes with a tear drop notch at the top centre of the display which obviously houses the front facing camera.
It also does seem to be possibly a metal designed housing which is for me, one of the best materials to build a phone out of.

Interestingly, the Optus X Vista is a ZTE made device, known as the ZTE Z66210, and is the 3rd ZTE based device that Optus has as one of its pre-paid devices since the company relaunched here after its closure earlier last year over the US Sanction bans.
The Optus X Vista is available through the Optus website or your local Optus Yes store for $199
Both the Optus X View & X Vista are now available through the Optus Website or through your local Optus Yes Store, though they are locked to the Optus Network, so unlocking fees will apply should you wish unlock any of these devices to use on other networks.
You can unlock the Optus X Vista on eBay for less than $5:

I’d love to see a full review of this phone considering it’s a viable budget option; It’s got okay specs, a large screen, is priced under $200 (you can get it at Kmart at the moment for $179), can be unlocked for next to nothing (as above), and I am assuming it comes with near stock Android (and Android 9.0, at that). I’m considering getting one for my mum, I’m just waiting to see some sort of review first.
Optus should change the storage information for this phone, as at https://www.optus.com.au/shop/prepaidmobile/x-vista it said expandable memory is up to 256GB
