Following hot on the heels of the Samsung Galaxy Fold, the Huawei Mate X is set to hit the market in October. The rumour comes from the team at Android Community. For the sake of the foldable phone technology, we hope that it is a more market ready product than the Galaxy Fold.
We got our first look at the Mate X in February at Mobile World Congress and it has captured a lot of interest. After several delays on the launch, it seems the phone is ready for market now.
The phone has some very impressive specs, but as a first generation piece of hardware there will undoubtedly be some teething issues once the phones are out in the wild.
It will be a very interesting test of the engineering to see how they stand up to daily use by every day users.
Would you consider a folding device in its early stages of design like the Mate X, or will you wait for a more polished product in years to come?
