Before its official launch, we now have our first look at the Huawei Mate X2. Thanks to Evan Blass at Voice, the first official press renders have been leaked.
This time around, the Mate X2 will fold inward to protect the main screen and a second screen on the outside. The larger of the screens is a foldable 7.6 inch display, the outer screen is a 6.2 inch display and will be powered by Huawei’s own Kirin processor.
It will, of course, be afflicted with the Google-less ecosystem caused by some of the trade restrictions imposed on the Chinese manufacturer during 2019. Provided you’re not deeply invested in Google’s own apps, this may not be an issue but it will form part of the buying decision for many. We will know more as the release approaches and look forward to seeing what the Mate X2 offers at launch.
