OPPO has continued to impact the Australian market over the last few years. They’re consistently producing great quality phones with specs that meet and exceed users expectations. Recently the Find X3 Pro has made a splash following the impressive Find X2 Pro from last year. Today we get a look at the new value offerings from OPPO, the OPPO A74 5G and OPPO A54 5G.
Traditionally, “value” offerings can often mean massive compromises but the OPPO A74 5G and OPPO A54 5G, priced at $449 and $399, respectively offer users a strong performance with the Snapdragon 480 5g under the hood. Both devices also carry a whopping 5,000mAh battery and fast charge (18W on the A74, 10W on the A54) capabilities. The device screens are set to impress offering buyers a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling on the 6.49-inch screen. Michael Tran, Managing Director at OPPO Australia made comment showing his pride in OPPO leading the way to make 5G accessible to all:
What we’re seeing is a two pronged approach to 5G rollout in Australia. On the one hand you have the major carriers accelerating the rollout of the network. Then on the other, you have brands such as OPPO maturing the hardware to make 5G accessible to everyone. With the latest A Series devices, we’re ushering in a new era of affordable luxury.
OPPO hasn’t just jammed a 5G chip in their A series phones, they’ve also updated the camera setup. The 48MP main camera, 8MP wide-angle camera, 2MP monochrome camera and 2MP macro camera will help you capture moments in time and turn them into memories. If you’re that way inclined, the 16MP front-facing camera will be well suited to maintaining your Instagram stardom.
The differences and bottom line:
- OPPO A74 5G: 6GB Memory and 128GB storage has an RRP $449
- OPPO A54 5G: 4GB Memory and 64GB storage has an RRP $399
Both devices will accommodate up to a 256GB MicroSD card if the relatively low storage is an issue for you. The A74 available in silver and black, while the A54 comes in Purple and Black with both devices on sale now through the usual retail channels.
