If you’ve ever installed an update and immediately regretted it thanks to a janky implementation or a major function disappearing you may be happy with a new feature in Android Q which will let you rollback the update to a previous version.
The folks over at XDA-Developers who are currently sifting through their leaked build of Android Q have found strings pointing to the option to roll back an update. The option to rollback an update isn’t quite live in their version of Android Q, just yet, but it certainly seems to be an option with several permissions – “PACKAGE_ROLLBACK_AGENT” and “MANAGE_ROLLBACKS” – included in the build.
We’ve all come across updates we’d rather be rid of, so this new feature may be a real bonus for a lot of users. We’ll know more about the feature when the official Android Q developer preview is announced, likely in the early weeks of March.
