Instagram has announced that you can now share up to 10 photos and videos in one post to the photo sharing app.
The new feature, which will be enabled via an app update which is rolling out now, will enable you can combine up to 10 photos and videos in one post allowing your followers to simply swipe through the selected photo’s and video to see them all.
When uploading the selected photos and video to your feed, you’ll see a new icon to select multiple photos and videos. Instagram has said that it is easy to to control exactly how your post will look with your selected photo’s and video.
If you’re not happy with how the posts looking during the draft/selection stage, can tap and hold to change the order, then select and apply a filter to apply to all photos and video or select a filter individually one by one to the selected photos and video.
The selected photos and video will share just one single caption and are square-only for now, so wider landscape photos will still have to be uploaded individually. When looking at your profile grid, you’ll notice the first photo or video which has been selected as part of the upload will contain a little icon which means that is it part of a multiple photo and video post.
Contained within your feed, you will notice and see blue dots at the bottom of these posts to let you know you can swipe to see more. You can then like the whole post or photos and video individually and comment on them just like you currently do right now.
You can watch a video from Instagram below explaining the new feature in length:
