Google Maps is getting a makeover from today, with Google announcing new changes to one of the most well used apps on mobile.
The update Google says, reflects your world right now, better highlights information that you need to find with a new colour scheme and icons to help find things you need to. It’s logical changes with contrasting colours make it easier to find your destination or related destinations when you’re doing certain activities like highlighting petrol stations when navigating or train stations when checking out transit directions.
The new icons will be a set colour for certain things, for example food and drink spots like cafes have been allocated an orange colour, while outdoor places like Golf Courses are green. Google has supplied a key with all the new icons, and colour schemes to make the transition a little easier.
Google will roll the changes to maps out over the next few weeks, so it may not make it to you quickly. The changes will also be hitting any Google apps that use Maps including Assistant, Search, Earth and even Android Auto. It will also be showing up in any service which uses the Google Maps API as well.
Hey Dan I am waiting for your Bellroy Pixel case review 🙂
When it will be published?
Hi Terry, sorry for the delay. Case arrived literally this morning. Initial thoughts are that it feels great. I got a blue coloured one which is quite nice visually speaking. I’ve never used a leather case before but I can see the attraction it’s very nice in the hand. Give me a couple of days to get something together and it’ll be up ?
