Optus has today announced they’re making it easier to share the data from your various plans for mobiles, tablets and mobile broadband with a new data pool.
The new data pool will let families, small businesses combine any of their latest Optus postpaid mobile broadband or mobile plans onto the one bill and then share the data from each plan into one Data Pool. The Data Pool can be monitored through your Optus My Account online or with the My Optus app, and of course you can top up the pool with data packs when required.
Ben White, Vice President, Mobile Marketing, Optus, said,
We want customers to get the most out of their mobile and tablet plans. Sharing from one data pool means you only have one bill and keeping track of data usage is so much simpler. Now, if mum doesn’t use all the data from her mobile phone plan, she doesn’t need to hand over her phone when the kids have already finished the data in their tablet, it’s already in the pool ready to share on their own devices.
As part of the announcement, Optus has also announced new changes to their $60 My Mobile Broadband Plus plan. If you sign up for a 12 or 24 month contract you can get up to 12GB of data. They’ve also added a $10 My Mobile Broadband Plus plan for users wanting month-to-month plans, offering 1.5GB of data.
