Optus announced this morning that its My Prepaid Ultimate plans have increased data allowances (amusingly titled ‘Datafest’) with bonus recharge data, unlimited standard international calls to ten countries and an increased data rollover allowance on every recharge with a big focus on its $40 recharge price point.
Until next May, customers that connect to My Prepaid Ultimate and recharge with $30 or $40 will get double their standard data inclusions on every recharge. This makes a $30 recharge good for 3GB, $40 for 8GB – one of the best value prices for data in town.
Not wanting higher recharge users to feel left out, there’s also 3GB bonus data offered on a $50 recharge, bringing it to a still-pretty-good value point with 9GB of data included.
If you recharge $40 or more, you’ll also get unlimited standard international calls to China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, the UK and the USA.
Customers signed up to My Prepaid Ultimate can also roll over 15GB of data on every recharge (up from the previous 10GB limit). As long as you recharge before your expiry date (28 days) you can keep this rollover going.
These promotions are in place until 1 May.

Never thought I’d say this about a telco, but I’m actually happy to be with Optus.
