Vodafone has added to its previous COVID-19 customer assistance package by now offering healthcare workers two months of free network access.

Registered health practitioners are eligible for a two-month credit on their monthly postpaid access fee or prepaid recharge costs. The Vodafone CEO Iñaki Berroeta said the offer was to say thank you for running the front line through the COVID-19 crisis.

We recognise frontline healthcare workers are working in extraordinarily challenging conditions as they care for Australians in need.

To support those who need it most at this time, we are working on a number of additional initiatives, including this offer for registered health practitioners.

They’re yet to announce exactly how the credits will be applied but the details will be forthcoming soon. To help the many customers who have been affected (employment loss, financial hardship or other impacts due to the pandemic) Vodafone is not taking any action over unpaid bills until at least the end of April.

A genuinely community-spirited gesture from a big name company. Anyone experiencing these hardships is encouraged to get in touch through the Vodafone website or by phone on 1300 650 410.
