We love it, most of you love it, now that the Samsung Galaxy Tab is official, maybe we can actually get to meet the gadget we love. Running Android 2.2 on a 7″ 1024×600 LCD display powered by a 1GHz CPU, what isn’t there to love? Answer: Touch Wiz. With all that aside, the Galaxy Tab has officially been announced by Samsung at IFA in Berlin. Engadget went hands on with it, and they seemed pretty impressed overall, which only makes getting a review unit even more desirable. Full specs & preview video of the Galaxy Tab after the break (hit ‘Read More’).

Hmm 7″ seems a bit small for me
brand names can sell anything. This is way too expensive and has missing features.
I saw that they were previewing it on the Today show this morning – heard something about a November release here, but I might have misheard. It looks awesome but I’m content with my Streak.
I agree with Padoo,
– it’s too expensive,
– No USB connectivity,
– and small 7” screen!
i’ll pass…
Couple of downers.
1) No USB connectivity?
2) Are we going to have to sign up to some data plan to get hold of it? After all it is an Android phone
3) Lower resolution than the iPad which is 1024 X 768
4) The pricing on Engaged is FRIGHTENING – US$1,240 (or $930 without VAT). We will have to wait for the official pricing release.
Honestly I look at the thing and wonder why I would want to replace a desire and laptop.
The pixel density trumps the iPad!
iPad 1024×768 @ 9.7in = 132 ppi
G Tab 1024×600 @ 7.0in = 171 ppi
OWNED!
