Telstra may have been promoting the Motorola XOOM on their network for about a month now, but that hasn’t stopped Optus from taking away some of Telstra’s exclusivity. Optus are now selling the Motorola XOOM via their online store right now, and will sell it in-store from the 1st of July. Optus have also made sure there’s a plethora of buying options, with plans ranging from 12 to 24 month with either a small upfront payment or monthly repayment for the device itself.
To receive the XOOM for $0 upfront, you’ll have to jump on the highest plan available: $59.95/mo which will also give you a hefty 10GB of data. We’ve also been told that the Android 3.1 update for the XOOM will be coming “soon“ July sometime. You can check out all the plan options after the break.
24 Months — Pay Upfront
- $480 + $29.95/mo = 4GB Data
- $360 + $39.95/mo = 8GB Data
- $0 + $59.95/mo = 10GB Data
24 Months — Monthly Repayment
- $20/mo + $29.95/mo = 4GB Data
- $15/mo + $39.95/mo = 8GB Data
- $0 + $59.95/mo = 10GB Data
12 Months — Pay Upfront
- $649 + $29.95/mo = 4GB Data
- $499 + $39.95/mo = 8GB Data
- $399 + $59.95/mo = 10GB Data
12 Months — Monthly Repayment
- $54.08/mo + $29.95/mo = 4GB Data
- $41.58/mo + $39.95/mo = 8GB Data
- $33.25/mo + $59.95/mo = 10GB Data
Difference is that Optus network is actually usable compared to Vodafone.
Please post here if you can find an outright price, I cannot.
No outright price?
Those prices are scary compared with the sweet 12 month deals that Voda did for Samsung 10v.
overpriced. move on next please.
This is where its obvious that vodafone is more competitive!
