Irwin has already touched on the news that Myer would be stocking the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, however, at the time of posting that article he wasn’t aware of the pricing for the devices. Now I am, thanks to the junk mail Myer catalogue I received in the mail.
From what I can tell from the catalogue, Myer will be selling three variants of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 starting September 1st. Each Galaxy Tab 10.1 will come with a ‘bonus tablet sleeve‘, whatever that may mean. If it’s neoprene then that’s awesome, and it’s already known that Myer sell neoprene cases for the iPad 2.
The three variants of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will sell at the following prices:
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 — 16GB Wi-Fi only — $579
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 — 16GB Wi-Fi & 3G — $729
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 — 64GB Wi-Fi & 3G — $949
Update: As pointed out in the comments, a 64GB variant doesn’t exist on Samsung’s site. Perhaps 32GB was meant. If so, that’s a huge price hike.
Update 2: 64GB variant exists on the product page for the 10.1 but not in the press release we have. Interesting. Thanks, Harry.
For those playing along at home, the $729 pricetag on the 16GB Wi-Fi & 3G variant is the exact same as the Galaxy Tab 10.1v when it first launched on Vodafone — this also included 6GB of Vodafone prepaid mobile data.
on the global samsung galaxy tab 10.1 site it says under the memory that it has 16/32/64gb http://www.samsung.com/global/microsite/galaxytab/10.1/spec.html
Ok I’ve posted this a million times already but there are 12 variants…just like the ipad 2. $579 for the wifi only through to $949 for the 64gb 3g model. Exactly the same pricing and as the ipad counterparts available in black and white also. Myer will sell all variants but only some stores will stock all while smaller stores will sell selected models.
Thanks Noz, pricing the same as the iPad 2 I can handle that if it lives up to the hype 🙂
Bah. Where’s the 32GB Wifi version? 🙁
At a Canadian Bestbuy
16Gb wifi is $500
32Gb wifi is $600
No mention of 64Gb, I’d link the whole thing but it’s 5 lines long.

Talked to Myer, and they said they had been advised by their buying department that stock won’t be available September 1st.
oh noes! 🙁
A typo perhaps you mean 32GB not 64GB…
The catalogue states 64GB, is this an error?
Update: Samsung US site shows only 16/32GB variants. Why such a price hike for an extra 16GB of storage?
See my post higher up.
Damn. Higher than the iPad again. . . Come on, lift your game.
