Well there it is, ladies and gentlemen, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has been officially announced by Samsung at IFA, and it’s got some ripper specs..

  • Android 3.2
  • 1.4GHz Dual-Core CPU
  • 16/32/64GB Internal Storage
  • 7.7-inch 1280×800 (WXGA – 196ppi) Super AMOLED Plus Display
  • 21Mbit HSPA+ 850/900/1900/2100MHz
  • 8GB RAM
  • Wi-Fi a/b/g/n (2.4GHz & 5GHz), Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0 Host
  • 5100mAh Battery
  • 7.9mm thick, 335grams

I don’t think much more needs to be said about this device. It’s incredible on paper, that’s for sure; whether it can pull it off in real world use is another question.

According to This is my next, Samsung are expecting to launch the Galaxy Tab 7.7 “in the next coming months.” Which is always nice, because they can’t launch it whilst there’s an ongoing court battle with Apple — they’ll just try and block it. So, Telstra, when are you going to mention this?

Will this hate LTE? or be 4G enabled. I also hear that H+ is almost the same as 4G. Dont shoot the messenger though

something tells me you’re a bit off on the RAM specs.

8GB?! in a tablet?!

Buzz Moody

wow, this might be my first tablet if that’s the case.. those specs sound amazing.

Now one can only hope for a reasonable price tag and fast Australian release.. :/

“fast Australian release”, you must be kidding, we are always the last to get these !

so this thing is around half a mill thinner than both the gtab10.1 and the sgsII? what sort of crazy demon voodoo are those maniacs using? love it. give me more and by the end of the year every gadget in my house will be samsung.

It’s nice, but it’s their other phone announcement that gets me all jiggly in the legs.
