Nexus Prime

In the continuing avalanche of information, rumours and outright fabrications regarding the upcoming Nexus Prime more information has come to everyone’s attention via Twitter. A US tweeter known as The Panda King who has an uncanny knack for predicting launches, specs and general information regarding some phones (so much so, speculation that he works for one of the US Telco’s and deliberately leaks this information) got together with one of his Panda nation friends Tom Fleming and published a riddled poem with information about the prime.

While things that go bump in the night, surely give you a fright,
It’s all in good fun as I share treats and panda fun.

So Instead of filling your belly with candies, jellies and other hollows eve fare,
Perhaps your palate will cast a ballot, for an ice cream sandwich instead.

With an internal date now set and LTE a sure bet,
Those that get Tim Cook’s new pet will be filled with green eyed regret.

But wait you cry for what date can you buy?
This the panda did shall share

Fore on the date Bruce Wayne’s true father did die;
you shall in fact be able to buy in stores of red and black.

But those who pay other masters don’t fret,
over exclusive deals and bets

For in many other favors you will get your treat
be they GSM or wimax radios inside, the nexus brand will ride world wide

But as he lays in the corner with a Beer and a boner the Panda said with a sigh
Be it a Droid or Nexus branded new toy,

With dual cores “hd” screens, fancy new widgets and more
The one with the keyboard is what I enjoy

How you interpret the information in this poem is up to you, until we see a phone model that is new! (see what I did there?)
Given the history of Google launching their branded phones globally, it is highly likely that we will see official information sooner rather than later.

    Hardware keyboard Yay!!!

Well the above people have no sense of fun…  * ICS will be released somewhere about Halloween, or towards the end of October, if you will. * The main Nexus Prime device will be equipted with LTE, thus 4G capable. * Bruce Wayne’s father died at 10:47 p.m. on the 26th of June, so that’s presumably when the phone will be sold, in both Red and Black colours. * Other carriers will also stock it, but probably not at first. Along with this, they may be different, with either GSM or WiMAX capabilities, thus being able to be used “world… Read more »

um all good except for batman’s true father died on November 3, 1998

also red and black is a reference to Verizon ( as in you can buy at their stores on the date in america )

    Benjamin Dobell+ausdroid

Agreed, I believe they’re referring to Bob Kane, deceased November 3rd, 1998.

Is everyone missing the most crazy line?

“The one with the keyboard is what I enjoy”….. A hardware KB?? CRAZY!!

Please dont write articles like this anymore.
Ausdroid is normally a reliable and good read.

That’s possibly the most uninformative post on Ausdroid I’ve ever seen. And it’s pretty crap verse, too.

Ok sounds like the phone will be 4G GSM radio, will come in red or black, one will have a physical keyboard too. Dual core, HD display and new widgets. Nothing really interesting there.
Release date is the date Bruce Wayne’s father died? Any comic book fans out there know the date when Batmans father died? Or am I interpreting the riddle incorrectly?

Red and black is verizon wireless colours. So it will be out on the big v first.

I don’t think it will be gsm aka 2g/3g/lte either. Looks like a 3g/lte model and a gsm/3g model.

But I guess we will all know soon enough.

Red & black refers to Verizon Wireless and their 4G LTE/CDMA  network. A seperate GSM version is likley with a pentaband radio (850/900/1700AWS/1900/2100) to support all of the US’s GSM carriers and world GSM carriers (Havn’t got a clue where sprint and WIMAX fit in). Bob Kane created batman and died on Novemeber 3rd, which is smack bang in eric schmidt’s release schedule for ICS. The timeline and the fact that two seperate models form samsung are known to be going through accreditation procccess does give the rumour (and it is only a rumour and non-credible source) does fit nicely… Read more »
