Samsung have finally ousted the Galaxy Note 10.1 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The Galaxy Note 10.1 introduces a new series of tablets with S-Pen functionality on devices of all sizes — starting with the Galaxy Note at 5.3-inches. Besides the S-Pen there’s really nothing in the specs that will blow you away — it’s not the extreme tablet people were expecting, anyway.
- 1.4GHz Dual-Core CPU
- Android 4.0
- 1280×800 WXGA Display
- 12/32/64GB Internal Storage
- 3MP Rear Camera / VGA Front Camera
- Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct
- HSPA+ 21Mbps 850/900/1900/2100 MHz
- 7000mAh Battery
As you can see, it’s basically the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 with S-Pen. Samsung are marketing it towards designers, businessmen and students. The interface now has a split-screen feature that allows the user to take notes on one half of the screen with content being displayed on the other.
It’s a quad core CPU!
Amazing, I was going to buy one of the new Galaxy’s but they are so boring and so out of date I have no intention of doing so now.
I guess Apple has won against Samsung but they will lose the war.
Same resolution as the 5.3 inch Note. I reckon they could have bumped it up a bit. The stylus using folk would appreciate the higher PPI I suspect.
i want this now i hope a release date for australia come soon and the pricing as well please hopefully not 2 expensive
It may be a 10.1 with a stylus, but it actually makes it the first tablet that would genuinely by useful for students/people who need to take notes of things.
I’d genuinely consider this, if I can get work to pay for it 🙂
