Mozilla is looking to announce a major update to Firefox for Android next week, as they sent out a tweet along with the above picture suggesting that it will be faster, smarter and safer than the current version.

Firefox for Android (Play Store) will need to bring something amazing or disruptive to the table if it wishes to compete with the mega force that is Google Chrome — even though it’s still in beta. Firefox is a very well-known name in the browser space, but if Google Chrome is set as the default browser on Android “Jelly Bean” as rumoured, then it’s going to be hard for them to hold on. We’ll see what they have to announce next week nevertheless.
Great feauture of firefox version on mobile is “Sync”!
My guess would be the current beta is rolled into the current ‘proper’ release (the beta is really good, so much quicker than the non-beta version)
