From the 25th of June till July 8th the oldest tennis tournament in the world will take place on the courts of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. Spectators will drink champagne whilst eating strawberries and to help organise their viewing schedule, there is the official Android app which is available in the Google Play Store. Available free to Android devices on Android 2.2 upwards it is a relatively small 1.4MB download and offers a decent bunch of features including :
- LIVE scores.
- Results.
- Schedule of play.
- Draws.
- News.
- Player profiles.
- On demand video previews, highlights, features, interviews and golden moments
Photos. - Live @ Wimbledon Radio – 3 channels: Daily coverage of The Championships and two channels dedicated to Centre Court and No.1 Court commentary of live match play.
- Find It – lets spectators locate facilities around the grounds at Wimbledon.
So I have both Wimbeldon and Google IO this week to sap my sleeping time, but I know there are hundreds of thousands of fellow tennis fans out there who’ll be up just as late as I am. Head over to the Google Play store now and grab it.

Cool! Thanks for the heads up.
Thanks, I’ve just downloaded and the app seems really well polished. Lets see how it holds up over the next two weeks.
