A couple of days ago, we told you about a mystery HTC device with a snazzy red stripe, spotted by someone with a very blurry camera.

Well it seems that one of Phandroid’s readers has done a bit of sleuthing around the web, and has uncovered some further evidence of a soon-to-be-announced HTC device — the photograph he found is shown above.

Given there’s an HTC media event coming up on 19 September, this seems to be a fairly likely subject of an announcement.

The forums on which this photo was found have been discussing the idea that this mysterious device could in fact be the HTC Endeavor C2 — otherwise known as the One X+. The One X+ is rumoured to be a beefed up version of the venerable One X, featuring more CPU grunt in the form of a 1.7GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, and more RAM.

If its based on the One X, then its likely that this bit of speculation is right — existing One X accessories are expected to be compatible, with the only question remaining about whether HTC has squeezed some extra screen real estate in.

HTC always knows making a lot of phones, but never update the system for existing customers

Only thing that could convince me to buy another HTC would be an improvement in battery life! If only they’d throw in a decent sized battery that’d convince me to get one :/

Couldn’t agree more. Battery life on One XL was garbage.

I didn’t like the battery life on my One X but after the 4.0.4 update it’s much improved.

why are these photos always blurry? just convinces me that they’re fake. especially because it’s sitting there on a table: they would’ve had plenty of time to touch the screen prior to taking the photo so it focuses. It’s not like it’s someone trying to take a quick sneaky shot, obviously they have pretty much full access to it!

Or they’re just using a HTC camera. Ooooo– burn.

But in all seriousness, I agree. Unless it’s a quick-shoot situation, I don’t know why they can’t take a clear shot.

Hmm, could it be HTC’s first handset for the impending Vodafone 4G/LTE network rollout coming in early 2013? Might be a bit early though…

Have there been any comments about including expandable memory? I’d definitely buy a HTC over a SIII if it included expandable memory.
