If you currently own a Motorola device and you care about running the latest version of Android, you may want to head on over to the newly released ‘Home for Upgrades‘ page. This page will allow you to check if your device will receive an upgrade, what version of Android it will receive and when to expect this upgrade.
The page is quite simple – you’re asked to select your country, where you purchased your device and then select the device model. It also provides some tips on how to find your phone’s model number and how to verify if you have a retail version as opposed to a carrier branded device.
The site doesn’t look quite as nice as its US relative, as you can see below, but all of the information is there.
If you have a Motorola device, check it out to ensure you’re running the latest software, or find out when you can expect your device to be upgraded.
Sadists.
They give us a high quality web page to show all the devices we are NOT getting an OS update on despite perfectly good hardware.
At least it’s extremely easy and clear to see what’s getting updated and when.
Wow, it’s like everything they made before 2012 doesn’t exist.
Hmm, the Motorola CLIQ XT?
DEVICE NOT LISTED
If your Android 1.5 (Cupcake) through Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) model is not listed here, it is not slated for any further Android operating system upgrades.
Awww, what?? the sound of hearts breaking… 🙂
Thanks for the tip on the rollout schedule….. Oh joy the Razr is meant to get 4.1 in Q2 2013….. Only be 12 months after the 4.1 release….. Great work Moto….. Great work! /s
Yeah I found it funny that the lead device – RAZR is the last to get 4.1.
I could forgive Moto if they rolled out 4.2 to the Razr………..
If Google want to turn Moto around, this is the biggest issue they really need to fix……Timely firmware updates to all phones!!
RAZR isnt the lead device…….. unless your meaning the RAZR HD or M. The RAZR is only 3g….
Well I meant more in the case that the RAZR was the first of the ‘family’ and the oldest of all the phones.
