During the Samsung Galaxy S4 announcement in Dubai, the President of Samsung Gulf Electronics Mr Young Soo Kim mentioned that a ruggedised version of the Galaxy S4 will be released in the coming months.
The ruggedised version of the Galaxy S4 will be both water-proof and dust-proof similar to the Sony Xperia Z. There is no word on where this device will appear or if it will make it’s way to Australia but for those of you prone to breaking a phone or two, if may be something worth looking out for in the next couple of months.

I’ll be getting this for my better half who works at a restaurant. The only thing that stopped her going through her third S3 4G was an Otterbox which has a rubber flap to seal the dust out of the micro usb port.
I’ve always noticed those otterboxes seem to collect so much dust.
But at least prevents it from getting into the phone.
Dust doesn’t generally ever into my phone. And this is an S3 without a case.
She, working at high throughput restaurant and placing phones in pockets and aprons, the phone gets filthy often. It’s something we now have to consider with a phone purchase.
Yeah, true that, I put my phone in my pocket often at work, and I work at a warehouse, surprisingly it still manages to stay pretty spick and span.
