Some of the biggest Android apps are destined for their own official Google Glass release very soon. The following apps have been discussed at Google I/O:
- Path
- Evernote
- Tumblr
- CNN
- Elle
- The New York Times
While it’s priced well out of the price range of the average consumer, Google Glass Explorer Edition was only ever intended as a developer release to develop the product and ensure that it’s usable for the average consumer at the time of retail release.
The Twitter app for example will make this a more functional device for the average user. According to 9 to 5 Google, the app is focussed on photo sharing and is capable of showing direct messages and mentions on the display to keep the wearer in the loop with what their friends are saying.
