Yesterday, popular music-streaming service Spotify updated their Android application, leveraging Android’s amazing notification system to allow you to control playback right from the navigation pane.
This same feature has been seen in other music players of late — notably, Google Play Music uses this, and it looks almost identical — and it really makes controlling your music a lot easier, especially if you’re otherwise occupied (e.g. running, walking, operating in a lawful car holder, etc).
I think Spotify is a pretty great service with a very extensive music collection, but this is a feature that has been sorely lacking for a long time. All we need now is better playlist management and I’d happy.

Meanwhile MOG haven’t updated their app since 1972.
