Two of Vodafone‘s older Samsung devices have started receiving over-the-air software updates to Android 4.1.2.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and the original Galaxy Note are now receiving the update. If you’ve yet to see it, you can use Kies on your desktop to download it manually… or, just wait patiently.
While it’s a welcome move from Samsung and Vodafone and helps to keep their customers’ devices up to date, it would be nice to see an upgrade to 4.2.2 for these devices (4.1.2 is over 6 months old now).

My particular baseband version of the Galaxy Note seems to be getting missed out, still. Just like my version of the Galaxy S2 has been missed out, and my version of the Galaxy Note 10.1. It’s like Samsung have a weird kind of conspiracy against me. Anyway, I decided I was sick of it all, and flashed the latest Cyanogenmod 10.1 nightly. Straight to 4.2.2!
