After this mornings official announcement of Android 4.3, it appears that Google has released factory images for Android 4.3 for the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 on the Google Developers website.
The factory image is Android 4.3 – JWR66V. Which is a slight increment from the leak for the Nexus 4 which appeared last week, which was JWR66N. So, anyone who flashed that build to their device would be advised to flash the newest build to their device.
The update will be rolled out to devices from today, however there is usually a protracted wait of at least a couple of weeks, but the option is there if you want it.
Will you flash the factory image for your Nexus or wait for the OTA update?

OTA came to my Galaxy Nexus at 6am today so no need. That’s certainly the quickest I’ve received an update OTA.
Nexus 10 in Australia has no update yet.
Can someone help me with a silly question, please ? I have a rooted N7 but running stock ROM. If I flash the 4.3 Factory image onto my N7, will I in fact end up un-rooting my N7 ?
“Your device needs to be in fastboot mode, with the bootloader
unlocked.”. So no, it shouldn’t un-root your N7.
Thanks, Adam. I will give it a go this weekend.
Word is that there a problems with all root packages with 4.3 – currently the only known working root app is SuperSU, but even then you’ll lose root and must reapply it from recovery. Oh and CWM can’t flash it.
See SuperSU play store and Koush’s G+ for further details.
Go catters!
My official 4.3 OTA came today. I clicked on Restart and Install. However, TWRP Recovery somehow stopped the installation. Now I am still with 4.2.2 and when I click check for updates, it says that I am up-to-date. This sucks. TWRP Recovery didn’t spoil the update from 4.1.2 to 4.2.2 so I am not too sure what went wrong. I would be most appreciative if some can help me get to 4.3 via OTA.

Lucky you. Waiting…………
