The countdown to IFA in September is on, and we certainly cannot wait for the Samsung’s pre IFA launch on September 4th, which will hopefully show off the Galaxy Note 3 as well as what other goodies Samsung have to show, but as per usual the Samsung leak machine is going into overdrive with specs leaking all around.

First up is a from an anonymous tipster who has advised Phone Arena that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will in fact come with a 3450mAh battery, upping the 3100mAh battery found inside the Galaxy Note II which already provides most users with all day battery life.

Next, it appears that the Galaxy Note 3 has been for a trip through DLNA certification prior to its announcement and as part of the process of certification, the OS version number has been listed as Android 4.3. Three variants of the Galaxy Note 3 – SM-N900S, SM-N900K, SM-N900L – have been certified, all with Android 4.3 :

Finally, it appears that SamMobile has published a partial spec sheet for the Galaxy Note 3, or at least two variants of the device – the SM-N900 & SM-N9005 – which lists an opposing view on the battery, but confirms the phone will launch with Android 4.3 as the OS. While many of the specs on the N9005 have not been confirmed, the SM-N900 appears to be pretty complete.

SM-N900 SM-N9005
5.68 inch Full HD Super AMOLED (1920 x 1080) display
1.8GHz Octa-core Exynos 5420 + ARM Mali-T628 MP6 GPU CPU/GPU UNCONFIRMED
13 Megapixel with Optical Image Stabilisation
No LTE LTE
16/32/64GB User memory + microSD slot (up to 64GB)
Android 4.3 Jelly Bean
3,200 mAh

The final thing is that the source for SamMobile indicates that the Galaxy Note 3 will be the same physical size as the Galaxy Note II while still incorporating the larger display, so expect some very small bezels on the device.

The Note 3 launch is expected to kick off at 19:00CST on the 4th of September – Thursday, 5 September 2013, 3am AEST – in Germany. The event will be live streamed through the Samsung Mobile Youtube page.

What do you think of the Galaxy Note 3 hardware rumours so far?

Plain and simple nothing will be better than the Galaxy Note 3. It’s Samsung who made this category prominent today. They have the proven product all the rest are nothing more than rookies in Samsung’s ball yard. Rookies sit the bench there first 2yrs.

If the screen really ends up being that small, I will get the Xperia Ultra. In my opinion it is only missing AMOLED and an LED flash light…

>that small
That’s not small, no matter what. Even if it’s smaller then the Xperia Z ultra, who cares?

Iain Simmons

Apparently GregAndo does… 🙂

I’m just hoping this speeds up the availability of Android 4.3 for my Note 2 (which I’m still extremely happy with, despite all the other new phones out there).

If Samsung can pull off the “better phone in same size body” trick that they did with the S4, then I’ll be recommending the Note 3 to everyone.

And I see the Xperia Z Ultra as closer to the Asus Fonepad kind of territory than the Note 2.

Sean Royce

I guess to each their own, but 5.68 inches isn’t small by any means like he’s claiming.

Iain Simmons

Haha yeah true that!

That small? Sorry mate but if you consider the note 3 to be small then use a tablet lol. Seriously lmao smh
