The Android Developer distribution dashboard has been updated with the platform statistics for August. Signs are good for Jelly Bean (4.1,4.2) with it’s numbers up to 45.1% from 40.5% last month. The previously dominant version, Gingerbread (2.3), has fallen 3% to 30.7%. Donut (1.6) has finally fallen from the graph now that it is installed on <0.1% of the devices accessing the Play Store. Froyo (2.1) and Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) also took minor falls of 0.1% and 0.8% respectively. Android 4.3 is not listed on the dashboard for August, so we'll have to wait until the start of October to see what its user-base is.
As for screen resolution changes, there was very little movement. Large and XLarge devices have seen a small increase, and xxdpi has jumped 2%.
