CyanogenMod-11S-OnePlus-One
The OnePlus debut phone, the ‘One’ is coming together slowly, with the company slowly releasing information and specs in dribs and drabs over the last few months. The latest piece of the ongoing puzzle that’s come out in the leadup to the April 23rd launch is in the form of an unofficial leak to Engadget which shows off the CyanogenMod software.

Firstly, the OnePlus CyanogenMod software variant will be called – ‘CyanogenMod 11S’. This variant of CyanogenMod will be based on Android 4.4.2, although a rumoured Android 4.4.3 update apparently coming soon, will be great test of how quickly these fledgling companies can turn a software update for their phone around.

As seen above, the software shows a clean looking lock screen, showing off a nice background picture, with relevant – hopefully customisable – information such as Time, Messages, Weather, Battery statistics in the KitKat immersive mode.

The second shot shows off the on-screen buttons and some basic information about the build of CyanogenMod 11S that these screenshots were coming from.

This is most likely an ‘engineered’ leak by OnePlus, similar to the leaked sketch of the OnePlus phone design that appeared a couple of weeks ago. It’s not long now till the launch, then it’s just a matter of working out how to get one of these handsets to Australia to review.

Is the OnePlus shaping up to be your next phone?

Does this mean that CM is moving away from the stock AOSP plus tweaks approach?

Montalbert_Scott

we’ll have to wait and see. I think they will always be based closely to AOSP from what they’ve said but will add in the usual tweaks but a few exclusive One Plus stuff I think… April 23 I think wasn’t it? Can’t wait to see exactly what they have..
