UPDATE: The testing group has now reverted to invite only as enough test users have come on board. Ustwo Games recently tweeted from their account to this effect:
Thanks everyone for helping out with #android! Monument Valley Early Access signups are now closed, watch this space for round 2 next week

Monument Valley is the new and stunningly beautiful game that has rocked iOS in recent times, and for those in Android land who’ve been wanting to get on board with the action, now you can.
The popular game from ustwo has now been released for early access for Android phone and tablet users, and they want help ironing out final bugs before the final version is released to the Play Store. As an incentive to get in early, ustwo has made Monument Valley available for just 99c USD to testers — the regular price is $3.99 USD.
For those who haven’t heard of the game, or seen its gameplay depicted around social media lately, Monument Valley gives you the opportunity to manipulate impossible architecture and guide a silent princess through a stunningly beautiful world.
Described by ustwo as a surreal exploration through fantastical architecture and impossible geometry, Monument Valley has the player guide a silent princess — Ida — through mysterious monuments, uncovering hidden paths, unfolding optical illusions and outsmarting the enigmatic Crow People.
For those keen to try it for themselves, you can jump on the testing program at the Monument Valley – Android group on Google Groups. Join the group, fill in some basic profile and preference information, and then hit the Monument Valley testing page on Google Play to gain access to the early release.
We’ve been playing it this morning and enjoying it quite a bit, so let us know if you try it out and what you think!
No early access available anymore – see here: https://twitter.com/ustwogames/status/459831505834221568
Chris did you get an invite or was this originally an open group?
It was an open group, but only for a limited time; I understand it’s now closed.
Yeah looks like we missed out. Thanks for the clarification.
Thanks Chris.
Annoying to have missed out, even before we got to learn of it.
According to the Google group it’s INVITE ONLY 🙁
Does anybody have a spare invite they could send my way?
Yeah I’m getting the same. An invite would be sweet…
I contacted the owner too. I’d say they’ve closed the soak test so that too many people don’t get the app for cheap…
Same here. I’ve contacted the group owner to request an invite. Will see how it goes.
I didn’t bother because I didn’t think one would be forthcoming. Kind of defeats the purpose of an invite system if they hand them out on request.
If you do get one this way please let us know as I’m sure we’ll all request one.
The Google Group itself is Invite Only, so you can’t even see any of the existing posts on how this beta is going.
That’s overkill on locking down testing.
Thanks, that does seem overly restrictive.
