Earlier today, we got our first look at pricing for the LG G3 when it launches in Australia. As a bonus, pre-orders for the first 100 customers will receive a Wireless Charging dock (and a G Pad 8.3) but what if you just want that sleek looking Wireless charger by itself, or you’re not quite ready to switch carrier? Well, you’ll definitely be able to, with LG today announcing pricing and availability for not only the wireless charger, but their Quick Circle cases and snap-on shells.
The Quick Circle case is a new take on their Quick Window case, with a circular design and a new range of lock-screen widgets and controls specifically designed to take advantage of the circular window. There’s a range of new widgets, but you can select different tracks or play/pause your music, take a picture, check txt or email or look at the time (if you haven’t bought one of the LG G Watches yet). The Circle is a follow-on from the new design language in their software, so it completes an overall design language that LG is going for with the G3.
The Quick Circle Case will be available in four colours – Titan Black, White, Gold and Aqua. The cases will be priced at an RRP of $49.
In addition to the Quick Circle case, LG are supplying snap-on covers, which are designed to protect the rear of your phone. They’re textured, and simply snap-on over the top of your phone. They will be available in Black and Caramel colour options for $19 each.
The most popular of the accessories that were announced with the LG G3, is the wireless charging dock. It’s a nice looking dock unit that compacts down to a small form factor to make it easy to take with you. It’s a Qi compatible charger and lets your phone sit in the dock upright, so you can view your screen on a desktop or on the night stand next to your bed. They even work with the Quick Circle case clipped on. The LG Wireless charging dock will be available for $69.
So, where can you get these wonderful accessories? Well, LG advise they will be available from Harvey Norman and other selected retailers, exactly which selected retailers we’re not sure but most likely places such as The Good Guys, All Phones, Dick Smith etc, but we will find out once the phone launches on August 4th. Till then, check out the Optus deal and see if it’s for you.
