Asus CEO, Jerry Shen announced to a group of investors last week that Asus would be announcing their Android Wear smartwatch at IFA. True to form Asus are now teasing the release via their social media channels.
Posts have appeared on the Asus Twitter and Facebook pages showing a quote from Lebanese artist, poet, and writer, Khalil Gibran. The quote is quite obviously a thinly veiled reference to a watch, as is the image, clearly a silhouette of a watch.

The Asus Android Wear watch is supposed to be the game changer which will bring Android to the masses, with Asus’ traditional good quality, yet low-priced hardware paired with the Google Android Wear platform. Rumoured to be priced at between $99-$150, the price, if true, is half what Android Wear devices are currently selling for.
Just over a fortnight remains until IFA kicks off on Friday the 5th of September. Asus hasn’t as yet announced their Press event for the trade show, and they generally bring along some other toys to their events, but it’s Android Wear we’re really excited to see at the moment.
nice price….but i’m scared that they might cut down features like heart rate and water resistant and poor display
