new moto g

I dropped into my local Officeworks this morning on the way to work to see if they had any stock of the new Moto G or “Moto G2” as they are calling it.

I found a dummy version on display with a price tag of $299 which is well above The Good Guys price of $268 plus delivery.

I asked a store assistant if they had any in stock and whether they price match with The Good Guys. He checked The Good Guys website and came back and he said they could price match plus 5% discount as per their policy.

This brings the total cost down to only $254.60 which is $13.40 plus $5 delivery less than The Good Guys price, unless of course you can pick up in store.

I came very close to buying one but with a new Nexus phone and tablet just around the corner, I remained strong and left empty handed.

Hopefully we’ll see these budget to mid-range phones continue to drop in price as similar devices hit our shores.

Might be a good way of picking up a new Moto X, when the good guys puts the price up?.

I see these as a great cheap phone for your parents and then something like the Vaya $17 plan saves heaps of money especially if the are retired.

Can I have your thoughts on Vaya? Network? Quality? Customer Support? Apologies for asking so many questions.
